About the Programme

Instituto 17 has participated since 2018 in the Urban Circuit, an event organized annually by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) that seeks to encourage dialogue among various actors on how to make life in cities better for everyone.

Every year, throughout the month of October, UN-Habitat encourages countries, cities, communities, individuals, and institutions to discuss ways to improve the quality of life in urban areas. For this reason, the month is globally known as Urban October. The period begins with World Habitat Day on the first Monday of the month and ends with World Cities Day, celebrated on October 31.​
